Our eight-week program will help you grow into a high-performing engineer for a sales, application engineering, marketing or project management role. And help us select and develop top talent for future employment and leadership within our company.

We are looking for students in the Chicago, Atlanta, Charlotte or Dallas markets who want to immerse themselves in the areas of interest listed below.

This summer, engineer your future

  • Sales Prospecting – Cold-call targeted industries or companies and enter all activities in Salesforce
  • Customer Relationship Systems (CRM) – Become proficient at entering contacts, companies and lead conversions; manage opportunities
  • Account Management – Conduct joint sales calls with account managers
  • Sales Channel – Train at distributor companies and conduct joint sales calls with channel managers

  • Organization – Develop work schedule and sequence engineering tasks
  • Hands On – Perform customer site installation, commission and validate a developed program
  • Communication – Proactively communicate the status of projects, identify critical path items and recommend resolution issues that impact production schedules
  • Work Schedule – Work independently or as a member of a project team

  • Presentation Skills – Participate in product presentations/demonstrations
  • Events – Support Omron's marketing and sales initiatives onsite

Internship Requirements

  • You are pursuing a 4-year degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • You are seeking a career in sales, application engineering, marketing or project management
  • You can secure and pay for your own housing
  • You are a highly motivated, financially-driven self-starter
  • You have an energetic, aggressive, focused personality
  • You have relationship-building skills and a strong personal desire to win
  • You can multi-task and work cross-functionally
  • You have good organizational skills
  • You’re a team player who can also work independently
